Ideally, you treat your servers like cattle, not like pets. Automated deployments are easier to test, easier to troubleshoot, lend themselves to scalability, can perform rollbacks on failure, support blue/green and canary deployments. The more repeatable your deployments are, the less downtime you will have. Why use a CI/CD pipeline for deployments?
